The investor gains its first BREEAM Outstanding certificate for an industrial building in Poland and opens a regional office in Szczecin.
Accolade made its debut in Szczecin back in 2015. The multi-year process of creating environmentally friendly parks in the Szczecin region has resulted in the highest level of BREEAM certification, ‘Outstanding’, for the Szczecin III park, located on Kniewska street. This is the first warehouse facility in Poland to receive such a high level of certification. Another local industrial park, Szczecin Załom, is the largest facility in the company's portfolio in Poland, and the international industrial property investor has also invested in Koszalin, Goleniow, Kołbaskowo, Trzebusz, and Gorzów Wielkopolski, with plans for further growth. The scale of Accolade's operations and ambitions in the West Pomeranian region also prompted the investor to open an office in Szczecin.
Szczecin was our first project in Poland, and it will also be the largest. The target area of our modern industrial space in the West Pomeranian region will come to over 900,000 m². Accolade parks in this area have a significant impact on the development of the region, attracting world-class tenants and contributing to the creation of 4,300 new jobs. - said Jarek Wnuk, Managing Director of Accolade in Poland. We are aware of the impact industrial property has on the environment, which is why we devote so much energy into sustainable construction. Park Szczecin III received an impressive score of 87.4% on the BREEAM certification scale. Our commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection is evident in every aspect of this investment and this certificate is confirmation that our efforts have not gone unnoticed. - added Wnuk.
Properties in the West Pomeranian region are such a significant part of our portfolio that we decided to establish a physical presence close to the sites. The new office in Szczecin will provide asset management services for Accolade's investments in the West Pomeranian Voivodship and in Gorzów Wielkopolski. A regional asset management office run by the investor and owner is unique on the Polish market. We are a leader in this region and intend to stay that way. - added Małgorzata Więcko, MRICS, Head of Asset Management Poland at Accolade.
In terms of modern warehouse space, Accolade is the largest investor in Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. We’re a community builder that cares not only for its tenants, but also for the local community, which we have proven through our numerous CSR initiatives. We are committed to providing the best asset management service — we want to understand local needs as best we can, work with the local community, strengthen our partnership with local authorities and businesses, including international companies operating in Szczecin. - summarised Adrian Karpiński, Senior Asset Manager at Accolade Poland.
